Here's Bernardo, the founder of 8000Kicks and... We did it!
Super thanks for your support during these months, this product is becoming a reality and we are super thankful for your help in pushing hemp forward as the material of choice.
What now?
1- Dureing the next two weeks Kickstarter will try to charge your credit card. If not, please update your card's details on the platform.
2- After collecting everyone's pledges Kickstarter will send us the funds that we will use to start production. We have not received any funds yet, but we have already started manufacturing hemp yarn.
3- By mid-April you will get a post-campaign survey from us where you can select your Trekkers color and sizing, add your add-ons for a discounted price, and input your shipping address.

It's a strong statement to say that we have the World's strongest hemp. But we have been sourcing and testing yarn and fabric from all the suppliers in the world. We continuously challenge you and we challenge our suppliers to find us a better fabric quality, because that's how we keep improving.
During the last months we have been testing a new dye and a new fabric iteration. After countless trials, and a lot of testing, we have now got the results from SGS, the golden standard for textile certification internationally.
In terms of strength, we have managed to totally surpass what is the lab standards by at least 5x, which is a great milestone for our company, See the test results below:
Fastness is the fabric's ability to hold its color for a long time without fading. These are by far the most challenging tests for sustainable companies, because people expect the same results as synthetic toxic dyes. So it is a big challenge to make good colors that last a long time. In a scale from 0 to 5 our results were incredible and we passed all tests, which means that our hemp is already better than 90% of other fibers out there. In other words, our shoes will retain their colors for a very long time. But still, we will not rest until we hit level 5 on all categories.
Once again, this is a big milestone for our company, and that would have not been possible without your support. Today we are one big step closer to make hemp great again.
